The South Bend Community School Corporation’s Showcase of Schools will be held Wednesday,
October 30 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Century Center, 120 South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in
South Bend. The Showcase of Schools is designed to help parents and students learn about the
corporation’s available programs and offer them the opportunity to enroll.
Principals, teachers and current students will be able to discuss their school’s offerings and
answer any questions about the programs available.
“Beyond sharing with the community what each of our schools can offer, this event truly
highlights what makes each of them unique within the corporation,” said Superintendent Dr. C. Todd
Cummings. “It is a great opportunity for us to come together and learn about the hard work of our
educators and the stories of their students, each of whom make our schools such distinctive places of
personal growth and learning.”
In addition to offering information about support services, adult education, before and after
school services, eLearning days, and career and technical education programs, representatives from
Chartwells, the corporation’s new food vendor, will be on hand to pass out food samples and conduct
demonstrations.
Spanish translators will be available for bilingual families. Registration will be open from
October 30 to December 15 for the 2020-2021 school year. The event is free and open to the public.
Parking is also free.
