Clay High School to host “The Drowsy Chaperone” as 41st Summerfly production

South Bend Community School Corporation Clay and Adams High School students will join students from St. Joseph, Penn, and Brandywine high schools to perform the musical “The Drowsy Chaperone,” the annual Summerfly production, Thursday, June 23 to Saturday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Clay High School auditorium. The play is a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s.

The Summerfly production was formerly part of the Firefly Festival held at St. Patrick’s County Park. The Firefly Festival ended in 2005. Since then, it has been held at Clay High School.

Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults. The proceeds are used to support future Summerfly productions.

Students will also perform a sneak preview of “The Drowsy Chaperone” at U93’s Roof Sit fundraiser at Martin’s Supermarket, 7321 Heritage Square Dr., Granger, IN on Wednesday, June 22 at 12:30 p.m.
