South Bend Community Corporation high school seniors will return to their middle and elementary schools on Tuesday, May 18, as students line the hallways to cheer them on ahead of the high school graduation ceremonies.
The senior Graduation Walk has been a tradition for South Bend Community School students for four years, having started in 2017. Initially part of South Bend’s BEST. WEEK. EVER., the tradition is intended to highlight a goal for students’ public education: graduation.
The 2020 walk was cancelled because of the pandemic but will take place in person this year with masks and social distancing.
