About the Instructor

Mr. Walt Jaqua has actively participated in the corporate I.T. business field for over thirty-five years with vast experience in managing, administering, servicing, and supporting a wide variety of information systems. His instructional experience began in the early 1980’s while teaching repair classes on the original IBM PC to other technicians looking to advance their skills. Mr. Jaqua continued teaching technology to other technicians nationwide in addition to his daily corporate duties until 2009 when he left the business world to build the South Bend Community School Corporation’s Information Technology program from the ground up. Through his leadership, high school junior and senior students have had the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience, earn college dual credits, obtain multiple industry recognized certifications, secure internships, and acquire part-time and full-time jobs. Mr. Jaqua's alumni have entered directly into a career, attended post-secondary community college and university, and joined the military.
