AP Capstone

The AP Capstone magnet program builds the skills of critical inquiry essential for success in college and in life. This interdisciplinary, college-level program complements and enhances discipline-specific AP courses, challenging students to: integrate, synthesize, and make cross-curricular connections; plan and conduct a study or investigation; and propose solutions to real-world problems. Students may earn either the AP Capstone Diploma™ or the AP Seminar and Research Certificate™.

Visual & Performing Arts

Clay High School has a long history of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. The magnet program advances Clay's ability to provide a world of outstanding opportunities, training, and experiences for the talented, committed students who have a serious interest in the arts. From Bach to rock, ballet to hip-hop, from graphics and media arts to ceramics and sculpture and from Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams, Clay offers students a comprehensive, quality program in the fine arts. The program includes four fine arts strands with specific areas of study.
