  • Introducing the Male/Female Students in grades 9-12 to academic and social concerns of this generation. 
  • Promoting positive discussion and self-expression
  • Offering Innovative/ Intellectual activities that inspire mental challenge
  • Providing our students with the knowledge that they are empowered to create the kind of life and society that they desire to inhabit in the future.
  • Hodari Scholars Recognition Luncheon
  • Fathers First Conference
    • Increasing the understanding of how the male socialization impacts the community, men themselves, their ability to father, their households and their children.
  • “On Your Mark” Book Club
    • Encourages 3rd and 4th graders to prepare for the upcoming academic year by establishing book clubs in the homes of our families.
    • Interested families (host) are given a book to take into their neighborhood community where they will invite other neighboring families to join in reading and discussing the book with their children.
  • Dr. D’s Neighborhood
    • Radio talk show offered to the community every other Tuesday at 4pm to discuss  "all things education,"  to relay information about the work of this office, and to discuss the results from programs this department has sponsored.  (WUBS)
