ECE I Course framework

Student performance objectives include, but are not limited to:

  1. establish higher order thinking,problem-solving, and time management skills
  2. demonstrate leadership and professionalism for work environment success
  3. identify effective, quality programs for young children in various settings
  4. establish skills to build positive relationships with young children, their families and the community
  5. examine the history, theories, and foundation for early childhood education
  6. create daily lessons that emphasize differentiated learning
  7. assess the effectiveness of daily lessons and make adjustments as needed
  8. determine future professional goals

ECE II Course framework

Student performance objectives include, but are not limited to:

  1. Implement higher order thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills
  2.  Demonstrate leadership and professionalism for work environment success
  3. Participate effectively in a preschool program for young children
  4. Implement skills to build positive relationships with young children, their families and the community
  5. Apply theoretical knowledge about child development within a preschool setting
  6. Implement effective daily lessons that emphasize differentiated learning
  7. Create a professional portfolio that meets CDA guidelines
  8. Determine future professional goals
